PECO supports the local communities of Mineral Wells and Weatherford in many diverse ways. One of the biggest is through the Palo Pinto Area Foundation, which supports the Palo Pinto General Hospital. This initiative helps keep a state of the art hospital in Mineral Wells.

PECO regularly supports the Crazy Water Festival in Mineral Wells. This is an arts and crafts festival that requires one canned good as an entry fee. The food collected is then distributed to the less fortunate in our community. We regularly support youth sports of all kinds in both Mineral Wells and Weatherford. A few of the youth sports that we support are Soccer, Little League, Swimming, Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Track. Project Graduation is another exceptional cause that PECO supports with donations. This program provides a safe environment for our graduating seniors to celebrate after their graduation ceremony. At Christmas, we traditionally support the Goodfellows Fund with a food and toy drive. These are only a few more recent charitable organizations that we have supported.

As our employees daily go above and beyond for the company, they occasionally enjoy a little special reward. At Christmas PECO gives each Mineral Wells employee a food gift card. Every year a significant number of the employees donate that food to the Goodfellows Fund to help the people who have less. It is truly wonderful to be part of such a generous and giving people. On occasion, PECO has treated the entire employee base to lunch to celebrate some of our successes.

PECO believes in the community and helping in ways that do not always involve direct monetary gifts, such as the blood drive or providing flu shots to reduce illness. Some of our employees are dedicated workers for causes in the community such as United Way, Girl and Boy Scouts, coaching youth sports, Crazy Water Festival, the Hospital Foundation and many more.
